Besides declining Physical Health, lack of manners, has turned into a lack of civility.
Losing our Civil Society has turned into .. a Mass Murder every few weeks!
People can no longer sustain the stress we are under in today's Digital World.
We have millions of TV channels and information sites, but we forgot ..
WE STILL ONLY HAVE THE SAME 24 HOURS,
as 60 years ago when we had TWO TV channels.
Such complete 24/7 overwhelm .. overloads our brain ..
and TAKES US ALL TO THE EDGE OF INSANITY.
IF we only want nice considerate people in our REVERSE WORLD .. what do you think of this Brain Theory? Are there 2 kinds of brains?.. brain wiring going from more thinking to more action oriented focus? Think about people you know. Could your group them toward one or the other end of a spectrum?
It seems to this crotchety old lady that Brains either are wired toward ACTION or toward THINKING. A Thinking Brain may be slow and accomplish little, but is the visionary, creative inventor. An ACTION brain "gets over it, and gets 'er done". We definitely need management AND inventor types of people to create POSITIVE progress. However the Management types have become the only ones recognized, celebrated and respected. The more quiet, sensitive to others, slower Brains (or PEOPLE), have perhaps been relegated to the dust bin of "mental illness"? If ACTION and THINKING people got back to working together we could solve the problems of the world.
But first Action brains must become more considerate, THINK BEFORE YOU ACT! Action minds must reverse their disrespect of slower, sensitive more contemplative reflective people. Think about it! We are thrown into the dustbin of the mentally ill. " oh don't worry about him he is a little slow. Yes but maybe his thoughtfulness has some DEPTH to it considering consequences Action brains miss. You are your brain. Your character is built from how you think and act. These are controlled by your brain. We can change our MIND .. and work to change bad habits. If some of those hurt others we must work harder to change. Slow thinking and indecisiveness usually only harms ourself, but if we have a family and don't remember to act and pay the bills we need to change that habit .. because it is affecting others.
Perhaps we can call it a WOOD vs Sponge Brain?
Wood gets many jobs done. A sponge (brain) does little but soaks up (Knowledge) !
Action brains tend to be insensitive to how the world affects thinkers. If you like to just GET THE JOB DONE you are an Action Brain. If someone tells you over and over, that they hate the sound of lots of texts, you must think NOT just act. If it is 1:00 AM you do NOT text them. Your natural brain wiring tendency to act is making you look very thoughtless .. which you were. You did not think first how your actions affect another. You need to work on THINKNG FIRST ACTING SECOND. Perhaps the world is looking rude and insensitive because people are so rushed with never ending tasks to accomplish they forget to take the time to THINK! If someone is sensitive to noise in a shared house, you certainly do not start tearing up the kitchen at 6:30 on Sunday morning! .. even if you DO want to quickly get your job done. For the record did anyone ever contemplate what hell the world is if one is sensitive to noise smells colour, tone of voice. Surviving today's chaos deserves a trophy for those who notice everything acutely. It is not FUN to be sensitive, it is hell on wheels! It is actually an unrecognized disability! But lets just celebrate us "pain in the neck" overly sensitive people as the canary in the coal mine that we are. If you had listened to us 20 years ago we could still have saved ourselves from our idiocy. (Alvin Toffler etc)
Has being considerate of others, become relegated to the quaintness of past times? I have no time to worry about overly sensitive people, i have a 100 things to do." The Digital World has created an UNTENABLE reality. Society will not survive without being sensitive to others. THINKERS REMEMBER, ACCUMULATE INJUSTICES AND WILL EXPLODE. It is wise for us to be nicer to each other. We never know when our rudeness will be "the straw that breaks the camels back". People who feel bullied eventually lash out. Suicides are up, but so is LASHING OUT. Canada who has NO mass Murders .. had THREE, 3! this spring. WE need to be more considerate of each other.
It is so hard to bring this opposite Brain Wiring a little more toward a centre point on the spectrum. But it is much worth the struggle because that is where the Leaders and successful Entrepreneurs live. TRUE Leaders see a problem, THINK out a solution, and ACT, They BOTH THINK AND ACT. Unlike today's "leader". Fortune 500 CEO's may be great managing and action minds but often completely un-visionary, missing opportunity. Our celebration of Management action must now be tempered with giving respect to THINKERS. Has mental illness been invented to keep troublesome thinkers down? That stigma MUST change or there is NO HOPE FOR ANY SOLUTIONS TO OUR VAST SET OF PROBLEMS. For our quality of life to improve all of our talents and skills need to be recognized not just the managers who make the company's profits increase.
One more Theory ..
I am OLD .. all this time I never knew I am considered a complainer. I am labeled a COMPLAINER .. for things I thought were just the result of CONTEMPLATION. "Why are the leaves dying in summer? Is someone looking into this strangeness? Why does a good new mattress have an immediate body dent? Did we get ripped off? I thought everybody thinks, is concerned about things! No wonder us thinkers are today stressed out of our mind. I have however seen a huge difference in what my mind now sees. after cutting down on processed foods for 3 years. I notice things I never saw before. 20 years going over the Burlington Skyway I never saw a community on the opposite side to my traditional OCD eye movement. I have recognized from the complainer accusation that i am not just sensitive to noise but to EVERYTHING, even too many bright colours give me a "nervous breakdown". The fashionable word today is ANXIETY .. and i always ignore whatever is all the rage. These days it usually detracts from the REAL problem. My less fogged brain because 3 years allowed it to work better has made me see stupidity in my life. I am learning to be less habitual .. less ridiculously OCD. So if I have woken up to seeing much more, simply by reducing my processed food intake the sugar and wheat etc are surely the enemy. With a less "fogged brain" I can see i must be a total pain in the neck so sensitive to everything! Now i can work toward trying to reduce the number of "Stop being so loud!" nervous breakdowns I have by using my secret formula "the Gift of Calm".
So ..
IF.. I got SMARTER or more observant with less Brain Fog (through less sugar and wheat consumption) .. THEN .. can seemingly "mean" people become more thoughtful of others in the same manner? Is it possible they are especially sensitive to the evil foods we are fed .. and their brain shuts down to consideration for others? My brain seems to have widened, I SEE more (ideas). I have always called "the others" Closed Minded, thinking only A! never a- b- c- d =E. Heck most do not even think A-B which is "if.. then.." Is it possible if we get mean people or impatient "just get 'er done!" brains to EAT BETTER .. they will get more thoughtful????
Use TURTLE TV to learn to look for beauty and just breathe. Focus on the beauty as you breathe deeply and slowly. Feel gratitude for being ABLE to see it. We forget to be THANKFUL! Let life fly by, but with us unattached to the stress that is given to us.
